The Fight To Allow Vaudeville In Lima Ohio In 1906

Price: $75.00

Book Condition: Very Good

This is a scrapbook of newspaper articles, beginning 1906 to 1907, from Lima, Ohio, detailing community efforts in enforcing local Blue Laws to prevent Vaudeville at the Orpheum Theater; particularly on Sundays. The articles have been compiled in a ledger book from Sheppard Cancer Sanitarium in St. Marys, Ohio. Fascinating both as a close- up glimpse into America's cultural fabric, roughly 20 pages of articles from local papers; and the synergy between local advertisers and the community that is on display in the Sanitarium ledger itself. Offsetting to the ledger pages from the newspaper cut-outs. The scrapbook is in excellent collectible condition.
