Mammoth, heavy and bulky folio nice illustrated with hundreds os original engravings including massive foldouts depicting battles, vistas, and rural scenes during the American Civil War. In depth descriptions of skirmishes, battles and the aftermath. Plus impressive portraiture and background of those remembered men on both sides of the war. Given the size & weight of the book, it is in very good often excellent condition. Mostly clean and bright pages with just occasional smudges. Boards are secure. Some exterior wear to the boards but the titling is still bright on the spine. Minor edge tears on the pages but they are few. Most of the incredible fold-outs are good shape, with discrete repairs to the folds as needed..
